Mary, I have been working on the very large Reid family that was in the Rockfish River area of Virginia from 1740 to 1805. This area was part of Amherst County for much of that period. I have been aware of the marriage bond of Jocob Reid or Reed and Elizabeth Staton, but I know of no link between him and the Reids of the Rockfish River area.
