I am new to the list and this is my first post. My 3rd g-grandfather was Burton Reid who was born abt. 1810 in Alexander Co, NC and married Nancy Oxford abt 1830. They had children: Margaret, James Samuel, William J. (my line) and Andrew Newton. William J. died October 1902 in Montague Co, TX. I have hit a brickwall in finding the parents of Burton. There were so many Reids in northwestern NC and I have no clues to go on, other than his Mother might have been named Margaret. Any help is appreciated. Thank you, Carol Ansley

Do you have in your records (or know of) Sarah (or Sallie) Reid, b. 1794 (prob SC), d 1864 Crawford Co., Ga., m 1815 to Henry Vinson.
