Hello, Can anyone tell me how to get to the "Reid Place", the original home of Lemuel Reid and also his father, Samuel Reid, of Abbeville County, South Carolina. According to the book by Wayne Reid entitled, "The Diary of Lemuel Reid", this house is still standing several miles north of Abbeville. Also, can anyone tell me how to get to the Upper Long Cane Presbyterian Church near Abbeville, South Carolina. This is the church that Dr. William H. Barr was the pastor from 1809 to 1843. He and his wife, Rebecca Reid, are buried there. Also, can anyone tell me how to get to the area where Hugh Reid lived. Hugh Reid was the father of Rebecca Barr, Samuel Reid, and others. He died in 1829 in Abbeville County. He was married to Margaret Reid, daughter of George Reid. I am very interested in getting directions to the area where the Reid and Barr family lived.
