I thought I would try my luck to see if anyone can connect with my Alexander Reid. Scotch Irish and according to his son George's marriage record was a shoemaker in Dunfanaghy Ireland. He was married to Anne ? who died May 26, 1872 in Cashelmore, Dunfanaghy, Ireland. Apparently much of the family died in the 1870's due to the absent landowner. His son George and his wife Jane McCullough were married October 11, 1855 Ballymore Parish Clondahorky, Co. Donegal, Ireland.Their children were taken by the Church of Ireland's Orphan Society. All but 2 were sent to Philadelphia. One was sent to live in Coatbridge Scotland with relatives (unsure of which side, but assume that it was Reid as there is a letter about cookies being sent from her in the Robertson colors). Alexander was fostered out to live with the "Mitchells" In Falcarragh Ireland. Thanks Paula Irwin Morris
