I believe this is the family I am descended from and they are the descendants of Alexander Reid (1698-1775) and Margaret McKay (1698-1778). Alexander Reid died in Rowan, NC and his children with Margaret included (but are not limited to) Alexander Reid (1726-1802), Samuel Reid (1728-1810), John Reid (1731-1816), and George Reid (1746-1799).
