My g g grandfather was MATTHEW REID, born 1803, somewhere in TN. He may have married HARRIET WALDING in Nashville in 1830. That same year he turns up in Hinds County, MS. Apparently Harriet died early. He was living near an older REID, by the name of JOHN REID. I suspect that they were brothers. We would be grateful for any help or suggestions.
