Your Jane is of the right age to be a sister to my Eli Reid. He was born in 1799 in SC, but his sister Betsy was born in NC as was your Jane. My Eli lived in Jefferson Co. AL in 1819 when he married Syntha Lochridge. She was the daughter of Thomas Weems Lochridge, SR. She was born in SC. They were in Monroe Co. MS in 1830 and in Marion Co. AL by 1840. He and Syntha died in Marion County, AL He died there after 1870. I have resorted to DNA testing to locate his ancestors. One of the near matches is from Charles Reed who lived in Jackson Co.
