James Reid born Oct. 1777 in Polliwilline, Scotland. Married Margaret Reid Jan. 16, 1801 in Scotland. Margaret was born April 7, 1780 in Argylshire, Scotland. Came to the US on the ship 'Charlotte Harrison" in 1856. (Along with some of his sons.) They eventually settled the town of Argyl, Illinois. Their children were: Hugh, Jean, Margaret, James, John, Alexander, Janet, David, William, Andrew and Ann. James' parents were John Reid and Mary McFarland. Tracy
