Hello all. I fear that I many have been the cause of some grief to many of you through my over confidence in the virus protection set up on my PC, which did allow two viruses to be passed on through the listings in my email address book. I have taken steps over the last 12 days to enhance my virus protection set up, which I hope will greatly reduce the possibility of another such event. Let's hope that this is true. The two viruses which have been passed on were identified as; Win32.KlezH, and W32.ElKern.3326. They were passed on, on Friady 3rd May and Monday 6th of May, New Zealand Time. I experienced loss of operating system functions as .exe files were corrupted and difficulty with the recovery of poorly backed up data files of all kinds. I have had some luck in that most of what I have has been restored and I have had the opportunity to learn some valuable lessons about virus protection, but I wonder about the cost to others. This is a great concern to me. I never wanted to be a part of the virus propagation problem, but rather a part of the solution, by never being someone who allowed a virus to be passed on to others. Please accept my sincere apologies. If anyone wishes to know more about what happened and how I recovered from this virus event feel free to contact me. I am virus free at this moment. Greg in Raumati New Zealand PS If you have received this twice it is because the first transmission returned some non-specic errors, so I am trying again. --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
