Hello Listers, We have just joined the list and are researching Reids from Kirkinner, Wigton and from Kirkcudbright, Scotland. Specifically, we are seeking information on Margaret Reid, who was born in 1819/1820 in Kirkinner, Wigtown County, Scotland. She married William Graham on December 01, 1840, in Minnigaff, Kirkcudbright. William Graham was born about 1820 - probably in Minnigaff (from census) Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland, but he was listed as being "of Carphairn" Minnigaff in the OPR marriage register. Margaret is referred as "from Minnigaff Parish" in the marriage record. Any assistance on finding information on siblings and parent of either of these folks would be very much appreciated.
