Hello to all Reid researchers I thought I would write again as I may have had my Perthshire information a little wrong in my last posting, so I shall write what I know to be definite as follows (MY LINEAGE HAS THE ***) ... James Reid was born app '1834' in Perthshire to a Robert Reid (Robert was claimed to be a "Bailiff" on James wedding cert in 1861). I believe there were other siblings. ***JAMES REID (a gardener), married Elizabeth Taylor (servant from Wragby, Yorkshire) in the parish of Sudbury, Derbyshire England, on the 3rd October 1863. Children of James and Elizabeth, all born in England, were as follows. James born 1864 in Checkley Staffordshire **John Robert Reid born 20 Dec 1865 in Wragby Yorkshire Helen born 1868 in Checkley Elizabeth born 1870 in Checkley Margaret born 1872 in Checkley It is believed that one of James and Elizabeth's children emigrated to 'BUENOS AIRES'S, it was most likely "JAMES" ***John Robert Reid (a gardener) married Elizabeth Roe, in the parish of Glossop Derbyshire England, on the 23rd Dec. 1889. Children of John Robert Reid and Elizabeth Roe were as follows... Gertrude born 1889 **Douglas born 1892 Stalybridge, County of Chester, England If anybody sees a connection with this family of Reid's, or sees any mistakes etc... please contact me.
