John Reid was born about 1790 in Inch, Scotland and married Mary Murray about 1811 in Scotland. John reportedly died at sea near Indonesia. (I would love to uncover the circumstances of his death.) John's widow Mary married James Muir in 1826 and their family immigrated to Utah, USA. Any information about John Reid or his parents would be greatly appreciated.
