I am researching John A. Reid, brother to Thomas Reid who married Judith Bryant. I am curious as to where you got the info that Thomas was born in Virginia. That could well be, but I have John A. Reid as the oldest child of William R. Reid and Jane Anderson, b. 14 Dec., 1766 in South Carolina. I know that William and Jane Anderson Reid moved to South Carolina from Augusta Co., VA after they were married in 1765. I have wondered if John was actually born in Virginia, but census records say he was born in SC. If that is correct, it would make sense that Thomas was also born in SC since he was born in 1770.
