My great - great - great grandmother (MARY A. ARMSTRONG) was married to (?) REID in County Londonderry, Ireland; before leaving Ireland, they had a son (ARMSTRONG REID) born: October 1837 County Londonderry, Ireland. I'm thinking they left Ireland around 1839 (I have nothing to base this assumption on). They landed somewhere in Ontario, Canada where she gave birth to a girl (ANNIE REID) born: February 1840. Shortly after the birth of Annie, something must have happened to the father of these 2 children; Mary re-married to my ggg-grandfather JAMES McFALL either in Canada or Wayne County, MI., USA. James and Mary had approximately 9 children with the first one being born in 1842 (MARY McFALL). My problem is, I'm having great difficulty in finding out the name of this Mr. REID and what happened to him and/or their marriage? Were they divorced or did he die (if he died, then when and where). I realize no birth or death records are available in Canada until 1869; but there must be something there that might signify what may have happened to him. Any assistance or advice is greatly appreciated. thank you in advance for any assistance and/or advice lynn dunk flint, mi **************Start the year off right. Hi all! I was wondering if anyone could tell me anything about the family of Henry Reid of Blount County, Alabama. My husband's grandma, Margaret, is a daughter of one of his daughter's (Etta Mary Reid Graves). I have a bit of information from another researcher who was only researching the family as a side line. It seems that Henry's mother was a cousin to that researcher. Henry was married at least 5 times. And he had a total of about 19 children. These are the names that I have: Ella and Carrie Reid (born of wife #1 Frances Skelton), Georgia Ann, Jim Nelson, George W. John, Mary Etta, and Lula Ann Reid (born of wife #2 Cincinnati Hays), Walter M., Coy, Julius S., Myrtle Jacyfine, Ulysses "Bud", Ruby Catherine, Dessie, and Mabel Reid (born of wife #3 Mary Jane Brown), and Frances, Ann, and Frank Audie Reid (born of wife #5 Dessie Loretta Culwell). I was actually interested in making contact with any living relatives from this particular family. Grandma would love to get together with any cousins she may have still living. Any help would be greatly appreciated as Grandma's mind is starting to slip. Thank you! Serena McBrayer
