    1. Rebecca Field married to unknown Reid/Reed abt 1820
    2. I am looking for a Rebecca Field/Fields who married an unknown Reid/Reed probably between 1818-1825. The marriage probably took place in Kentucky or Indiana. Rebecca married William McFadden in December 1826 in Indiana. In the 1850 Scott County, IN census, there is a Sally Reid living with William & Rebecca McFadden. From marriage records I know Rebecca's name was Rebecca Reid when she married William McFadden. Sally Reid was 24 in 1850, so her Father probably died in late 1825 or early 1826. 1. Michael M. Reed (1831 - 1912; Floyd Co., VA)
    2. I'm seeking information on the descendants of a Michael M. Reed (c 1831 - 1912) who was born in, and died in, Floyd Co., VA. Some info that I've come across indicates that he was the son of an Andrew and Elizabeth Reed, that he married a couple of times- first to a Mary S. Black (in the 1860s~she died c1869) , and secondly to a Hannah Bowers around 1870. Michael and his family "apparently" lived for some time in the Burke's Fork area during the latter part e 1800s and probably attended the Pine Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery near Floyd, as this is where he and Hannah were buried.hat same period of time. Both Michael and (second). As a side note, it's also come to my attention that Michael's father died c 1845 and that he (Michael) may have went to live for a brief period of time (during the late 1850s or early 1860s) with friends or family in Rockingham Co., NC. It was here that he supposedly enlisted in Co. "A" of the 45th NC Inf. in 1861. He also seems to appear on a post-war roster the 45th "VA" infantry as well, but this "may" have been an error as he did move back to the Floyd Co. area during the mid-to-late 1860s. In any event, any info on his ancestors, family, descendants or his life in general would be very much appreciated. Correspondence with any of his descendants would also be welcomed. Thanks, Bob

    3. Forgive me if I'm repeating myself, but my desire to break down this one brick wall is taking over! Does anyone, anyone, know of a marriage between Walter E. Reid and Ella Leora (Misner) French? It was in Grand Rapids, Kent Co., Mi. Ella had a son, John French when she divorced and married Reid. Somehow (no documentation) two other sons appear with Ella and Walter. I believe they were his sons from a previous marriage as they don't ever show up again in anything after their divorce and her move to California. If anyone has any idea how I can find out about this Walter E. Reid and these two boys I would be a very happy person. Actually, I follow Ella and her first husband William D. French, but these two children have me so confused, as I know nothing about Walter E. Reid except that he was married for a time and then divorced from Ella. If anyone can help me with this dilemma I have a very interesting story to share. Thanks for any help. Linda Kay "Russell M. 3. Add this to the will info. of Polly Reid. The below article was written in 1907. "The remains of Mary Woods and John Reid, her husband, were buried about two miles east of Richmond, KY in a plot of ground now an orchard, on the old William Goodloe farm, now owned and occupied by Christopher F. Chenault as a home. Marble stones, with inscriptions showing dates of their birth and death mark their graves. Their brother-in-law, Daniel Miller and wife settled on Muddy Creek. Samuel Reid and his family settled on Paint Lick Creek". According to a cemetery book, the stones say: Mary Woods Reid, Wife of John, 2 Dec 1746, 19 Oct 1828. John Reid,25 Aug 1750, 29 Jun 1816.
