I too am researching REID in Fife (Dunfermline). My Reids are so far traced back to approx. mid-late 1800's John and Mary Reid. Children included Celia, Bessie, Mary, Thomas, Peggy. The family was located in Dunfermline. Lisa in Canada

I don't suppose anyone has ever run across Innes Traill Reid, son of William Reid and Isabel Tormatson, both of Olrig, I believe. Innes married Isabella Sinclair and had seven children. One of those children, James, came to Canada around 1843, and I would love to find information on the other six. Did they stay in Scotland, or did some of them emigrate to the colonies?
