I am interested in what documentation you have that Walter Reeve was born in NY. I have found this stated before but have never found any proof. I descend from Walter also but through his son, Walter Jr. My family has kept the spelling, Reeve, with out the s although I find that for one general it was used. I would be interested in hearing from anyone that is able to document Walter Reeve's ancestors.
