Beulah, Great words! I have a cousin who I sent my info, mostly sourced and everything. She decided to delete ALL of the sources because that was my work, and felt that others should work just as hard as we have to "prove" things. I want my sources known, and don't want things left out, because it will be easier for the next person. Even if the sources are "wrong," there may be a link that can piece it all together, and maybe make some of us work harder to find the truth. Due to being female at this point, I can't participate in any of the DNA projects and Reeves and Freer families are too distant to even have family members participate. There are a lot of stories about most of our early American families. Names and places have changed over time. Rive has become Reeve Reeves Reve, or any number of variations. People did the best they could for the times they did their research. Certainly a few of our families have been taken in by a few charlatains, creating elaborate genealogies, but not all of them have. Tommie also said it well, WE MUST WORK TOGETHER! Only a few months ago my Reeves family was at a brick wall, but then I got the key (great great great grandfather's name) and documentation that opened the door to Thomas of Long Island. For those who can participate in the DNA study, I really urge you to do so. Although I can't wait until we can do the female lines! On angels' wings, Chris Z Greenfield WI 295/251/125
