Hi Tommie, That's an interesting thought. I know it is possible to get DNA from those kinds of sources. I think the question in this case though would be whether FamilyTreeDNA is set up to do tests in such a way or even if they would. I think their testing process revolves around a fixed routine of testing those kits they sent us. It would be interesting to see if any of the other surname groups working with FamilyTreeDNA has done anything like this. Maybe David can contact them to find out.
