Lee I am very happy for you and Johnie Reeves. Over 20 years or so I have touched base with "Dr. Johnie" Reeves. I wanted to help but he has really had some real obstacles and I had no idea of offer. May you both be able to unravel some things together. A special bond is developing between Beulah , Barry and I. I am sure it will be the same for you. I am anxious to see your lines compared myself. Good luck to you. Tommie
Tommie, Thank you for the kind words of encouragement. We both were pleasantly surprised by the match. I contacted my cousin Melba Reeves Mitchell (our family historian) and discussed the match with her. She has spent over 20 years researching our family lines and gathering information all that time with anything that any family member would share with her. As you can imagine, she saved a ton of material, never throwing anything away. Now she is busy going back over the material to see what she can find that will help us work with Johnie to fill in the missing pieces. We are off on a never ending adventure. Just about the time you are ready give up something comes together for us. I will enjoy watching Barry,Beulah and yourself discover your missing pieces as well, good hunting ;) Lee Reeves -----Original Message----- From: Tommie Smith [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, May 24, 2005 12:07 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [REEVES] Immigrant Ancestors Lee I am very happy for you and Johnie Reeves.
