Paul, Do you know anything about Maretta J. Reeves? She was from Georgia and was probably born in the 1850's. I don't know her parents' names. All I know is she married Rufus Marion Griffin from NC and then her offspring up to my generation. I'd appreciate any information, if you have it. Diane, I've never run across a Maretta Reeves or a Rufus Griffin in my searching for my family's lineage. I tried a few sites such as Rootsweb and LDS, but didn't get any hits on that combination of names. About the only thing I found on the internet was what you probably already know - a list of their children at: http://archiver.rootsweb.com/th/read/AFHA/2000-10/0971940899 I'll stay alert for Maretta, and if I do see that name I think it will ring a bell with me, as that's an unusual spelling.
