James Franklin1 Reeves Sr., son of John M. Reese (Reaves) and Artimesa (Artisleles or Artilitha?) Broyles, was born in Russellville, Jefferson County, Tennessee on March 5, 1841. He died on February 13, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma. He was buried at Stella Cemetery in Stella, Little River Township, Cleveland County, Oklahoma. On May 26, 1872 in Hogeye (or) Cherokee City, Benton County, Arkansas he married Elizabeth Caroline Abshire. Elizabeth Caroline Abshire was born in Mountain Grove, Wright County, Missouri on September 3, 1844. Elizabeth was the daughter of Seaton Abshire and Elizabeth Corbin. She died on April 11, 1928 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma. She was buried at The Stella Cemetery in Stella, Little River Township, Cleveland County, Oklahoma.
