Dear Listers, Thompson Reeves b. 1799 was my great grandfather. He married Lucinda Rilla "Cinderella" b. 1800 who is believed to be a Robinson. Their parents are not proven to my satisfaction. His older Reeves relatives were in Pendleton Dist. S.C. at the time of his birth. Property transfers show them buying and selling land as they slowly migrated down the tributaries of the Savannah River into Georgia in the early 1800's Thompson and Cinderella were in Gwinnett Co. Ga. in 1820 with two female children. I descend from two of their children. I have information on all of their children to some degree. James Marion Reeves was born to them in 1823. He married Mary Ann Childers in 1847 in Gwinnett County GA. Their son Elijah Wallace Reeves married a first cousin named Mary Anna Scott. Mary Anna's mother, Polly, was a daughter of Thompson and Cinderella also. Elijah Wallace and Mary Anna are my father's parents. What would really help me would be to find descendants of Thompson's brother Lofton Reeves b. 1792. What I need most of all would be information on the son of Lofton who was named James M. Reeves b. ca 1824. His records confuse me with those of my great grandfather, James Marion Reeves b. 1823. Thanks for the roll call. It always helps. Tommie Reeves Smith
