Laverne, This is what I have on the William Reeves, Sr that I believe to be my 4th Great Grandfather. William Reeves, Sr. * Born about 1723 in Granville County, North Carolina. * Married Elizabeth Lawson about 1763 in Granville County, North Carolina * Had these children between 1764 and 1780: Mary Ann, Wylie, John Hardy, Elizabeth, Tabitha, William Jr, Lucy and Willis. * Wife Elizabeth Lawson Reeves dies about 1782. * Was listed as a Juror in the Court of Granville County, NC on August 10, 1787. * Moved to York County, South Carolina between 1787 and 1793. * Possible marriage to Elizabeth Thompson about 1793 in York County, SC * Listed in Censuses of 1800, 1810 and 1820 living in York County, SC * Died on July 15, 1821 in York County, South Carolina. I will be the first to admit that there are some discrepancies in the information about William Reeves, Sr. and I would welcome any evidence to prove or disprove what I have.
