Tommie, I have corresponded with many other researchers about this line over the years and most seem to think that William Sr. had a second wife named Elizabeth. But to be honest with you, I can't say that I have ever seen any convincing evidence to support it. I believe that someone sent me some copies of their research on William. Sr a long time ago that had some additional information about his "second" family. I'll see if I can locate the information. I think it was one of those things that I wanted to follow up on but didn't have the time when I received it, so I put it in my "ToDo" box. I'm looking forward to seeing the results of your nephew's DNA test. Perhaps when we see those results, it will indicate how closely we are related. If there is a close match, that could provide additional evidence of the second wife "Elizabeth". Do you know any more about her death? That would leave the opening for William Sr., to marry again to another Elizabeth before his death. The settlement of his estate indicated he had a wife named Elizabeth. This would open the door for you and I to perhaps be closer kin after all. I would appreciate feedback about this from anyone.
