Casander b abt 1807 Kenty d 1881 Eufaula, Ala Children of Jeremiah and Casander: William N REEVES b 1831 d.1905 m. Flora McNab David REEVES b. 1835 Amelia REEVES b. 1836 d 1862 m. James H. COBB Mary REEVES b. 1850 Jere Heland REEVES b. 1848 d. 1911 m. Elizabeth McNab Martha REEVES b. 1844 d. 1867 Notes: William N Reeves was a prominent Baptist Minister and head of the Eufaula Baptist Church. He and brother Jere married sisters who were daughters of wealthy Eufaula citizen John McNAB. Decendents of these brothers still live in Eufaula and are associated with the REEVES Peanut Company. (I have some details if interested). Amelia (my direct ancestor) dies as does her husband James COBB leaving orphaned son William Reeves Cobb. The child is taken in by brother David Reeves (also minister) who moves north to Tarrytown NY. I am looking for any information about what brought James H Cobb (a Conn yankee) to Alabama around civil war time, and more on family in general.
