Hi Michael, The Reaves family I mentioned is from that area too. Walter was murdered on Queen St.(main street)in Kinston. I don't have a date on that right now. Maybe later. I'll check with Betty Jean and see if she has it in her research. She is one of the daughters of Johnnie Clarence Reaves(Walter's brother). Johnnie Clarence Reaves was born 10-15-1906. Died 12-10-1973. Two of their sisters were named Pearl and Annie. Annie and their father Charles(or Charlie) are buried somewhere in Wayne county. Betty Jean has looked for the cemetary with some directions she got from someone, but to date has been unable to find it. There are other sisters but can't remember their names. I will call her tonight and see what she can come up with. The Walter Reaves I know about, never had any children. He was married to a lady called Creasie(my spelling might be off).
