I had read about the DNA project before and am willing in principle to be tested, but the payoff for me for such a cost still seems prohibitive for what I stand to gain, as the majority here seem to be in the US. It does pique my scientific curiosity though to be able to find out how much divergence has occurred. Do you have any idea how many Reeves have emigrated to the US, and how recently? I have not yet traced Thomas Reeves' male descendants, but presumably it is possible that I could do so reasonably easily using the online censuses etc and see if any of them disappear off the the US! David

    3. David, My immigrant ancestor was William Ryves born 1636 in England. He came to America about 1652 and settled in Surry County, Virginia. I believe there are some others on the list that have English ancestors who came to the U.S. more recently than that. Perhaps some of them will post their immigrant ancestors.
