All of the Reeves seem to be coming from the south. Does anyone have information/family from PA, Ohio, Ind, Ill? I have a William Reeves from Portsmouth, Pike County, Ohio, died Sept 14, 1879 in Milford, ILL. Many other Reeves that never seemed to come from the south. [email protected]

I disagree that all of the postings seem to come from the south in that I see several inquires from northern states. If it seems that there are several postings from the south may be it is because we care very deeply about family. Also our records are very old, were not kept for researchers or many were burned during the Civil War and so non existent. If you are looking at the DNA postings the south is only slightly ahead.Out of 19 test taken 6 seem to be from the north, 7 from the south and 6 haves not reported their lines - these I do not understand at all since they are defeating one of the purposes of the research. Please send them in. James P.S. I've taken the DNA test and am actively looking for cousins to do likewise. I have a George W. Reeves born c1847 somewhere in Kentucky married to an Elizabeth Campbell born Jan 27, 1845 somewhere in Tennessee. She died Feb 14, 1919 in Richview, Washington Co., IL. Not sure where George died, but presumably same as Elizabeth since their children were born in Washington Co., IL area.
