REEVES Out of State Age 26 September 22, 2007 Age 26 of Watkinsville, GA, was killed in action in Baghdad, Iraq Saturday, September 22, 2007 while serving in the Army. A native of Oconee Co., Joshua was the son of James Leyman and Wanda Jean Howard Reeves. He was deployed to Iraq on February 6, 2007 and was in the Delta Company, 2nd Battalion, 16th Infantry Regiment. Joshua was stationed at Fort Riley, KS from July 25, 2005 until his deployment to Iraq. He was a former student in the Oconee County school system and was an Eagle Scout. In addition to his parents, Joshua is survived by his wife, Leslie Burke Reeves and son, Joshua Jackson Reeves of Hender-sonville, TN; sisters, Sherri Reeves of Jacksonville, FL and Joni Reeves of Watkinsville; brothers, Jared Reeves and wife Katy, and Michael Reeves, all of Watkinsville; grandparents, Dolores Howard of St. Louis, MO, Joseph Leyman Reeves and Ruth Reeves of Zebulon, GA; mother and father-in-law, Marikay Burke and Brian Burke; and brother-in-law, Daniel Burke of Henderson-v! ille. F uneral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, September 29, 2007 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 706 Whitehead Rd., Athens, GA with Bishop Richard Morrison officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, at Bernstein Funeral Home. There will also be a brief visitation 10-1045 a.m. Saturday at the church, prior to the funeral services.
