    3. Tommie - I am wondering if you have run across John Reeves, in Pendleton Co SC records c 1810? From research of a mutual cousin, my cousin Lynn found that John was born about 1752 in Granville Co. and died prior to 1820, probably in Pendleton Co, South Carolina. [ we had thought him a son of John/Jonathon, grson of William of Granville, but a DNA test of a different cousin showed no match]. John married Sarah (maiden name unknown) about 1774, probably in North Carolina. Reuben [ my line] said in 1850 census that he was born in NC so the older sons were b NC and possibly the younger son was, or the family could have moved to SC before Wm was born. Family consisted of : James, b 1780 Reuben, Sr. b 1788 Jonathan, Sr. b 1788 William b -1792. Also we think Timothy is a brother, also several daughters, one named Winifred [Winney] who is Lynn's line. If you have ANY record of a JOHN in SC [or NC] that matches this family, I would appreciate hearing. I don't know if he left a will or not or if there were deeds, etc. I know you are doing so much in Pendleton Co and I thought you might have run across this JOHN and not known who he was. Any help would be appreciated. I believe he married Frances Mauldin did he not and then they named a son John Mauldin. I don't have much research on that family. I have just noted John Mauldin Reeves as a witness here and there. I am mentioning the Burgess Reeves b. ca. 1794 also probably in Pendleton Dist, He may be a nephew to the earlier one but I have never found any indication that he was his son.. We have discussed Asa and I have kept him in mind but I do not know the answer for you right now. I hope he is connected up before too long. Good luck to you. I will continue to keep him in mind.
