Hello Barbara, I believe you are thinking of the Burgess Reeves b. 1746. I believe he married Frances Mauldin did he not and then they named a son John Mauldin. I don't have much research on that family. I have just noted John Mauldin Reeves as a witness here and there. I am mentioning the Burgess Reeves b. ca. 1794 also probably in Pendleton Dist, He may be a nephew to the earlier one but I have never found any indication that he was his son.. We have discussed Asa and I have kept him in mind but I do not know the answer for you right now. I hope he is connected up before too long. Good luck to you. I will continue to keep him in mind. Tommie
Thanks and happy hunting.
