I know this is the time that everyone wants to be outside enjoying their favorite activities. But don't forget your genealogy as you make your way to family home comings or taking part of your vacation to do a little research along the way. Take a tape recorder along when you visit the older generations and record things they tell you and you can sort it out at a later time. Because some of them can ramble but that is the fun of it as lots of hints can be picked up at that time. Example: All I knew about my father father was he die when my father was only 6 years. I knew the family had moved to Whitfield Co., GA from Atlanta and he died there. Some years later fter the sons were older and able to hold down jobs their mother moved them back to Atlanta. That about sums it up. But years later after my father was living with us and we were on vacation in a small town in GA, I remember we were having lunch in this small town on our way south he said, "My father grew up close to here". I finally remember that one little statment when I got a death certificate for a half-uncle.
