    3. George, I have scanned with Norton's Anti-virus, done a Scandisk in case something got lost, ran Spybot and Registry Mechanic to check for spyware and lord only knows what. I have swung a rubber chicken over my computer, burned sage brush to the four winds and subjected my computer to verbal abuse. Nothing changed...nada. I've rebooted multiple times over the last few days. Nothing on seems to apply...that I can see....on the lists of fixes on the Microsoft website. That is probably because of my ignorance. I can't imagine that I'm the first person to have this problem. One person did send me a possible explanation on this site. It's alright....it won't bite. http://www.xs4all.nl/~jvdkuyp/flash/see.htm I'm beginning to think this is the cause. If someone does come up with a cure for my affliction please contact me personally. I think we've wasted enough list time and archive space on the subject. I really appreciate everyone's input and sympathy. Carole carole.hammond@comcast.net

    3. It can't be just one or two person's computers that has a problem. I am not receiving any duplications except from this website. Wouldn't we be receiving duplications of each email if there was a problem with our computers? 3. Carole, Right after I bought a new computer recently, my computer went through a spell of sending out two copies of every message I wrote. I cursed the new computer in terms unfit to print. In desperation, I called my ISP's tech support, which has always been quite helpful and understandable (they were still based in the U.S. at that point), and they had me check the settings in "Windows E-Mail". In setting up the new computer, I had inadvertently entered my ISP's server address TWICE, which caused the problem. If you have set up a new computer or have changed any settings recently, this could be your problem also. Sorry I can't tell you the details of how to check for this, as the tech rep had to walk me through it to get it done, and I have no idea how we did it. Good luck, Paul Reeves ----- Original Message ----- From: "Carole Hammond" <carole.hammond@comcast.net> To: <reeves@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, June 07, 2007 12:29 AM Subject: Re: [REEVES] [Double or more emails > George, > > I have scanned with Norton's Anti-virus, done a Scandisk in case something > got lost, ran Spybot and Registry Mechanic to check for spyware and lord > only knows what.
