My GGGF, Asa (Asahal) Reaves/Reeves, was b. approx 1794-98. He was in Pickens, SC by the 1830 census. His spouse was Clarinda (unk) (Hornbuckle we think).....he was Administrator of the SC land owned by a man named EDENS of Hancock Co, Ind... Asa died in 1881. His son, Hiram, my GGF was b. in 1824 or 25, married Emaline Youngblood and Lydia Powell. Hiram died in 1887. Just hoping these names may be familiar to you.
