In response to the query about John Reeves, the one that lived in Izard CO., AR. He was a great-grandfather of my husband. Census records show he was born 1819, in TN. He first showed up in Gibson Co., TN. We think his father was William Reeves, but have not been able to prove this. However, our DNA did show that we are from the Burgess Reeves line. John married Charlotte Ballance the first time. John's mother was Sarah Jackson ( from the Pendleton District, S.C. Jackson Family). John and family moved to DeSoto CO., Miss., along with his widowed Mother and some of the Jackson brothers. John and several of the Reeves family then moved to Izard CO. John married Jane McBride Clayton the second time. He and several of his descendants are buried in a local Reeves Cemetery.
