Looking for information on John Reeves born about 1790 South Carolina and died sometime between 1860 & 1870 in Marion or Izard Co, AR. Most people have him dieing prior to 1860 but there is a John Reaves in the 1860 census with a new wife by name of Manerva J ??? and son William M Reeves born about 1859. John Reeves is the father of Green Reeves 1825-1896 AR Green Reeves is the father of Mattison "Matt" Slaughter Reeves 1880 AR -1962 OK Matt is the father of Jessie Lural Reeves Maxey 1903 AR to 1970 OK John was first married to Delilah Unknown. I think brothers of John maybe Thomas & George Reeves.

I am responding to this query because my wife's GG Grandfather was John Reeves (b. on unknown date in Wayne County, Tennessee - he was a babe when the wagon train traveled from Wayne County to Searcy County, Arkansas). This John married Minerva Jane ? about 1847 in Searcy County, Arkansas. I am thinking there is some confusion here with all the John Reeves (I must have thirty or more in my data base).
