Barbara Nelson: In the book HISTORY OF THE BAPTIST DENOMINATION IN GEORGIA on page 440 there is a Rev. Jeremiah Reeves who came from England to North Carolina in Colonial times--- He had six sons, and "of the six sons of this venerable man, four like himself became ministers of the Gospel - Malachi, Jeremiah, JOHN, and James. The book gives a long paragraph of Rev. James Reeves , who married lst Miss Sarah McElroy and then 2nd to Nancy (Harper) Phillips, dau of John Nairn & Elizabeth Mickelborough Harper. It also gives a long paragraph page 248, 249, 250 about Jeremiah Reeves, Jr. (second son of Jeremiah who married Jane Brazile ), but there is no information about the John Reeves. Jeremiah Jr. married Mary Echols in the year 1794. There is a asterisk on the name A.E. Reeves, as his son. I do not have the book I mentioned, but several pages zeroxed from the book .
