For those interested in death certificates available through the Georgia Archives, both on and off line, here is the answer I got from the archives when I inquired: "The Georgia Archives has death certificates through 1931. 1928 through 1931 are not online and are available only at the Archives. The State of Georgia passed legislation to provide for the registration of births and deaths by the State Board of Health in 1914 (v. 1, p. 157, Law 466), but uniform statewide registration did not begin until 1919."
