Alexander Reeves, b. abt 1790, VA, was the son of James Reeves and Sarah Holton of Wilkes Co. and Ashe Co., VA. They moved to Mason Co., KY in the late 1790s. James & Sarah's children: Margaret b. ? Mar. William Cordry in Mason Co. Nancy b. abt 1785 Mar. Benjamin Reeves in Mason Co. Alexander b. abt 1790 Mar. Effie Cummins in Clermont Co.,OH Bartlett "Bartley" b. abt 1791 Mar. Mahala Matilda Warnick in Mason Co. Mary "Polly" b. ? Mar. James Brown in Mason Co. Miriam b. ? Mar. Henry Wood in Mason Co. John b. 1802, Mason Co. Mar. #1 Eleanor Dunkin in Mason Co. Alexander moved with his in-laws to Sangamon Co. IL in 1819. He lived on the Sangamon River in Gardner Twp, about 7 miles NW of Springfield. He had 21 children by three wives and died in 1862. Is anyone else working on these Reeves of Wilkes Co., VA and Mason Co., KY? There were at least 2 other Reeves families in Mason Co. but their relationship to James and Sarah is unknown. Carole
