I am trying to determine the parents of my Abner Reeves. I have seen so many different versions of his parents and would like to be able to authenticate the correct ones. My line that I have proved is: Abner Reeves b ca 1755 Granville County, North Carolina and did 29 August 1809 in Wilkes County, Ga. Married ca 1785 to Sarah Wright b 1771 in Louisa Co. Virginia and d 18 September 1858, Meriwether Co. Ga and was daughter of William Wright & Elizabeth Thompson Lloyd. Their son Tyre Reeves b 14 August 1794 South Carolina d 29 July 1873 Meriwether Co. Ga. and Buried in Flat Rock Cemetery. Married Elizabeth Harper born 1796 Georgia d 7 Jan 1886 Coosa County, Daughter of John Nairn and Elizabeth Mickelborough Daughter of Tyre & Elizabeth Reeves was my great grandmother Nancy Jane Reeves b 1825 (from tombstone in De Leon Comanche Co. Texas Cemetery) md 29 April 1816 (have marriage license) in Stewart County, Ga. and died 10 May 1907. She married 2nd to Hiram Howell and older man in Ga. and he died in Ga. before she came to Texas with her daughter and family . Daughter of Nancy Jane and Alba J. Archer was Martha Adeline "Mattie" Archer b 15 January Georgia, d 165 December 1909, De Leon, Comanche County, Texas and married to William Tilman Henderson 2 October 1881 in Camp Hill, Tallapoosa County, Alabama Richard Cecil Henderson b 7 July 1898 Ben Arnold, Milam Co. Texas d 225 August 1977 De Leon, Texas md Willie Ella Barnes 29 June 1919 and I am their daughter. Can anyone prove who the father of Abner Reeves is?
