    1. [REEVES] Reeves Tractor
    2. >From a search on Google I found that the Reeves on the tractor was the logo of Reeves and Company of Columbus, Ohio. According to information found in the Bartholomew County, Indiana, Historical Society website, the Reeves brothers came to Columbus in 1875. They started the Hoosier Boy Plow Company which was a forerunner of Reeves and Company and the Reeves Pulley Company, manufacturers of pulleys and variable speed transmissions. They appear to have been bought out about 1913 by the J. I. Case Company (Case Tractors?). A check of the 1800 census shows M. T. Reeves, born about 1850 in Indiana, father born Ohio, mother born Ohio, wife Luisa, occupation manufacturer of plows. This appears to have been Marshall T. Reeves, son of William F. Reeves and wife Hannah. J. N. Reeves, born about 1845 in Indiana, father born Ohio, Mother born Ohio, wife Mary, occupation works in plow shop. This appears to have been James N. Reeves, son of Jabez Reeves and wife Nancy Coe. A. B. Reeves, born about 1840 in Indiana, father born Ohio, mother born Ohio, wife Panthin/Panthia, occupation manufacturer. This appears to have been Albert/Alfred B. Reeves, son of Jabez Reeves and wife Nancy Coe. William F. Reeves, father of Marshall T. Reeves, was also a son of Jabez Reeves and wife Nancy Coe. Jabez Reeves appears to have been a son of Eli Reeves and Sarah Redmond. Jabez died in 1895. An obit states he was one of the last members of the Reeves family who came to Indiana from Ohio in 1827.
