It seems these are the Reeves that I have found in the Buncome, Madison County areas. This area was first Rowan then Surry then divided again. They are in land and court records. I have also found a reference to an Abner Reeves in the court records in Sumner Tenn A great many people left NC in the early 1800's for Tenn and Ky.
