Alexander Reeves, b. abt 1790, VA, was the son of James Reeves and Sarah Holton of Wilkes Co. and Ashe Co., VA. They moved to Mason Co., KY in the late 1790s. James & Sarah's children: Margaret b. ? Alexander moved with his in-laws to Sangamon Co. IL in 1819. He lived on the Sangamon River in Gardner Twp, about 7 miles NW of Springfield. He had 21 children by three wives and died in 1862.
