Here's my lineage, starting with my grandfather: G.G. Reeves b. 1865 Crawford County, Ga. d. 1932 Ben Hill Co., Ga. m: Martha Ann Rogers James Milton Reeves b. 1824 Jasper Co., Ga. d. 1897 Crawford County, Ga. m1: Louisa T. Bates m2: Mary Julia Perkins William Reeves b. 1794 York Co., SC d. 1850 Fayette Co., Ga. m1: Camilla Cleveland m2: Martha Ann Black Wylie Reeves b.1769 Granville Co., NC d: Before 1850 Fayette Co., Ga. m:Rebecca Thomasson Note: This is the same Wylie Reeves that is covered in the book by Arthur Ray Rowland, entitled: "Ancestors and Descendants of Wylie Reeves--------------" William Reeves b. 1723 Granville Co., NC d:1821 York County, SC m: Elizabeth Lawson I have personally verified everything back to Wylie Reeves. The connection to William Reeves b. 1723 is undocumented. To date I have found no one on the Reeves list that is known to descend from Wylie Reeves, but would welcome hearing from anyone who thinks they may be a descendant, or from anyone who can document the link between William b.1723 and Wylie b.1769. Paul: "Levi" Reaves/Reeves joined the Army in 1862 with A.T. Reaves of Pickens County, SC. I believe he, too, was killed; but, he is listed on the Civil War list. Wiley, in one census, had a son, Levi. I am attempting to tie Wiley to Asa and Hiram. I am certain they came to SC at the same time and lived in the same area (along with Burgess, etc.); but I just can't get the connection. You may want to go back and check the census reports for Pickens (mine are filed away for the moment)....Let me know if you have a hit.
