Hello all, Contrary to most of you (who I see mostly having Reeves' in TN, KY, SC, etc.) my Reeves branch lived in Burlington Co., NJ. Am I alone? I will detail my line. My first documented Reeves ancestor (though I know of Reeves' back to about 1680 in Burlington) was Joseph J., an innkeeper in Pemberton, Burlington Co., NJ. He was born in Burlington County on 5 June 1804, married Susanna Ewen on 20 Oct. 1825, and died on 5 June 1884, his eightieth birthday. His wife Susanna was born 15 January 1808 in Pemberton, the daughter of William and Rebekah (Scroggy) Ewen, and died 16 Feb. 1886. Joseph and Susanna's children (all born in Pemberton) were: William (b. 1828), Sarah Gaskill (my ancestor--b. 1831), Mary (b. 1837), Sophia (b. 1839), Susanna (b. 1842), Emma (b. 1843), Joseph J. II (b. 1848), John Henry (b. 1850), and Kate (b. 1852). Is anyone else researching New Jersey Reeves'? -Mac Carlson ------------------------------
