I don't have much on my REEVES and hopefully someone out there has connections to the little bit I do have. My gg grandmother was Victoria REEVES, b. May 23, 1849 d. April 30, 1888 in Benton Co, TN. The 1850 Census lists her place of birth as TN but I don't know where. She married Alexander A. ADAMS b. 1844, Benton Co., TN d. Jun 16, 1910 in Benton Co, TN. They were married on Jan 17, 1867 in Benton Co. According to the census and marriage records her parents were James R. REEVES (b. cir. 1831 TN) and Sarah Ann HERRON (b. cir. 1835 TN). They were married on Sep 12, 1844 in Carroll Co, TN. which is probably where Victoria was born. Other children in the 1870 Carroll Co, TN census were Mary (9) and Alvin (10/12). There were other REEVES on the census but I do not know if any were connected. If any of you are from the Memphis, TN area you may remember Lt. Pat Adams giving the weather report from the helicopter over the radio. Victoria was his mother. If anyone know anything about this James please let me know.
