Joe Thurston: Joe I appreciate your answer. There are so many Malachi Reeves and are hard to determine which is which. I very well could be wrong on his birth date as I said About 1755. I would be so grateful if you would send me the 10 pages of info. I have worked on his family for years. I have some material from "Reeves, Newkirk, Mercer by Lillian Reeves Wyatt , That give a lot of info on a William Reeves d in Granville Co. in 1751 and names sons Malachiah, Jeremiah, James, William and daus Judith, Rhoda, Elisabeth and Delilah. Do you have copies of this? Joe, I am intrigued by the information you have about Malachi Reeves. I believe that my one of my ancestors is Malachi who died in Cobb County, Georgia in 1850. In trying to piece his family together I run into many earlier and contemporary Malachi's, particularly given the custom of naming children after parents and relatives. To make a long story short, I am making an attempt to sort out all of the various Malachi's in SC, NC and Georgia and then on to Alabama, Texas and Arkansas in an effort to determine relationships. I would very much appreciate a copy of your notes on the Malachi described below and others named Malachi. On a different note, my great-great grandfather, Leroy Reeves, appears to have had a brother named Littleton Reeves who moved to Maurice Township, Arkansas sometime between 1851 and 1860. Richard A. I called the FTDNA and she said go to this url and it will pull it up at the bottom where you sign up . It only shows this pricing when you sign up for a surname project. Now if you order the kit personally outside the Reeves project you can only get the 12 ; 37 etc. You do get a good break in pricing when you are a part of a group project. _Pricing_ (https://www.familytreedna.com/surname_join.aspx?code=S73785&special=true) _https://www.familytreedna.com/surname_join.aspx?code=S73785&special=true_ (https://www.familytreedna.com/surname_join.aspx?code=S73785&special=true) The 25 markers is still $148.00+$2.00 shipping. We are having a very good response to our roll call. But there are quite a few we haven't heard from and I urge you do please post your line and tell us your brick wall. It looks that some researchers have discovered a few new leads. I have noticed there are some that are related to a direct Reeves male. Barry, David and I urge you to consider joining our DNA program. There are several that haven't made a match. I believe we could match everyone eventually if we could encourage more to join the DNA project. We still have our offer of paying half of the cost for the 25 markers. Your cost would be about $75.00. If you want to increase the markers in the future that would be your responsibility. Twenty-five markers are enough to be sure that you match someone else and know definitely you are both from that line within a certain number of years. There is a limited number of these offer left and we want to reach everyone. Don't be left out of this effort. Contact Barry and he will arrange it with the FTDNA. We do want all those in the program to make a match. This is a large list and I know we have matches that haven't been discovered. Good news is you can order these from the arkansas health dept and i bet you guessed.. when someone starts out with "good news is" there will be bad news.. Arkansas didnt start keeping records on this till about 1914.. after which its spotty for a few.. people i KNOW they should have they dont.. so you probably will have mixed luck HAve in front of me a clipping from the van buren county democrat "Lexington News Notes" with the obit for Lilie Watts Reeves, wife of Pleasant ANDREW Reeves II (b. 1894), son of WIlliam Green Reeves (abt 1872) and Grandson of the original pleasant andrew (abt 1852). "Mrs Lilah Reeves, wife of Pleas Reeves, died at her home in Heber Springs Jan 18th of pneumonia,. She was the daughter of Sherman Watts and was reared in this vicinity where she has many friends who mourn her departure" -----Original Message----- From: reeves-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:reeves-bounces@rootsweb.com]On Behalf Of Catherine T Flanagan Sent: Thursday, May 17, 2007 10:29 PM To: steve@texsteve.com; reeves@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [REEVES] Roll call Thank you for the information you have given me in this mail. Joe why don't you give us a little of the history you learned on the Ryves when you were there. Beulah If any of you have opportunity to visit England, you must plan to include Blandford Forum in your "must visit" sites.
