    3. Fay, My Reeves family was in Scott Co, MO, the next county to MS Co in which Charleston is located and had moved there from KY.. That was in the late 1860's/early 1900's. I wonder if George has email that I might get in touch with him and see if his family was there at the same time frame. I am not in touch with any branches other than my direct line. If you are in that area, I would appreciate it if you would ask George. Thanks, Laverne Raisch. 2. I am looking for help in breaking through my brick wall. My Great Grandfather is James H Reeves b. March 16, 1861. According to census records, he was born in Illinois and his parents were born in Ohio and Illinois. He married Sara (Sarah) Moe on June 28, 1885 in Plano, Kendall county, Ill. They lived in Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, and So. Dakota. Does anyone know who his parents are and what the H stands for? Thanks for any help you can give me. Judi

    2. Sue, I'm home now in California and believe me it's VERY hard to fly back into San Francisco after being in beautiful North Carolina! Hillsborough is absolutely one of my very favorite places! The history alone is wonderful and I absolutely love the beautiful old homes! If I had a "spare" $340,000, I would have loved to make an offer on this old place. It's a total wreck though and needs SO much work. It's located on East Queen Street..... Karen

Eastern Standard Time, [email protected] writes: Hi List, I'm visiting my daughter in North Carolina. While driving around today in the historic town of Hillsborough, Orange County, North Carolina, I came upon a house called "The Webb House - ca. 1800." The house is for sale and has been abandoned for some time. I have found that a James Webb, Physician, lived in the house. He was born ca. 1774. His wife's name is Ann Webb, also born in North Carolina, according to the 1850 census. James Webb is listed as 76 years old; Ann is 65 years old. On the 1860 census I have found a James Webb, age 42 years old, wife Sarah Webb and 10 children: John, James, Lizzie; Annie; Joseph; Sarah; Mary; Ellen; Eleanor; Margaret. If this family is of interest to anyone, please let me know as I'm visiting my daughter in North Carolina and return to California Sunday. I'm happy to take some photographs of the home. I am also a Webb who can't find her ancestors so I'm interested in this home too! Mine ended up in Tennessee. 1. Re: [REEVES] DNA Project Update
    2. That is wonderful news. I have news also. One of our reeves that lives around Atlanta just informed me he has found my oldest male cousin and now all I have to do is talk him into taking the test and sending it in. He is in his 90's which makes it great. It is always best to get the oldest one before mutations take place. Keep your fingers crossed that this works out. I am very excited and hope I won't be disappointed. Let's all work hard to find a relative that can take the test. I hope we can start forming groups sometime this year. With the last results received from FamilyTreeDNA, our 12/12 match has turned into an exact 25/25 match between # 20642 and 27040. The common ancestor in this case appears to be James Coleman Reeves (1849 - 1928). This could be the year that we see some major breakthroughs in our research, so please consider participating in our Reeves DNA project. If you aren't eligible, then please try to find someone in your family that is. Thanks, Barry Reeves

    3. Hello Paul, I am interested in the Ransom line. I saw a post in a Reeves website some time ago about Wiley marrying a Rebecca Ransom. I looked it up in my Reeves Review book ll. There they were. I have been in a battle with cancer since last July so I haven't gotten very far with my genealogy lately. If you don't mind I would like to keep in touch with you and hopefully we can solve this mystery. My wife's grandmother was a Reeves, and her GGGGrandfather was a Ransom. Both families were in the Granville area around the dates mentioned. I would like to find out more about Rebecca. Thank you and have a great day, Cloyd Nelson Idaho ----- Original Message ----- From: Paul Reeves <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, January 08, 2005 9:23 PM Subject: Re: [REEVES] Reeves Marriages > Sharon, > > Could you tell me what BM stands for?
