Lydia Ann Reed married Rev. James Alvin Shepherd (James Alvin was the son of John C. & Rebecca Shepherd nee Fees) whose daughter was Rebecca Ella Shepherd who married Henry Stewart Jaquiss. We believe that Lydia Ann Reed's parents were John & Eliza Reed and that Lydia had a sister, Mahalia. This information is in regard to Mahalia. Note: Myron married Eva Pero! Margaret married W.O. Pero! We had Wm. Shepherd married to Minnie Paro. Wonder if we spelled it correctly or if there is a possibility that this is one family in New London, IA. Can't find either Paro or Pero in the 1850 census for Henry Co, IA. So who knows? The information supplied could match the census information included below since it is quite possible that Lovinia E. is Eliza and the census might have been taken before William was born. The person who left this message at Genealogy.com Genforum didn't leave an e-mail address so the only possible way to contact him is if he would answer a reply posting.
